A child of the human experience, Kate Madara grew up just outside of Philadelphia within a family of a businessman, a librarian and a future doctor. From a young age she explored her unique and whimsical qualities with confidence. Carring these with her, she received her B.F.A in Photography from Arcadia University in 2010. Ever inspired by her family’s practicality she continued her studies into Ultrasound and works at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. A woman of many hats she travels near and far to capture conversations with plants through her lenses to remind herself of what is most pure about her experience of nature. An autodidact who loves to understand how things work and how to make things work she studies social, natural, holistic and biological sciences to poke holes through the edges of her own personal experience bubble. With everything she explores and makes she brings a contemplative exuberance that melts through her work in the existential, the day to day and the completely mysterious of both nature and human nature.
