Freelance designer working for clients such as George Asda and Tu Clothing on jersey product.

• Designing placement graphics, embroideries and embellishments for women’s and kidswear for the UK high street. Clients include TU Clothing, George at Asda, Pennys/Primark, Dunnes, Next and Justice.• Researching and identifying key upcoming trends, creating mood boards for presentation.• Communicating ideas to the team as well as liaising with factories in Turkey regarding development and production.• Produce detailed design spec packs for the factories including colour matching pantones and thread colours.• Researching and identifying new techniques.

I started at GB Fashion to help out on a freelance basis doing 3 days a week initially, working across womenswear and kidswear, doing all over prints and placement graphics and embroideries. I was then offered a full time role which I started in April 2018.

• Designing fast catwalk reaction inspired prints for the whole of the womenswear industry. My prints were sold internationally from high street clients to high-end designers. Clients such as Bershka, Mango and Zara. Working independently to meet sales trip deadlines.• Prints are digitally printed, artworks are put into repeat and colour reduced when required by the client.

I worked for 6 months, doing 2/3 days per week at JRC Imports, a fabric supplier to the UK high street, creating new designs requested by clients, and inspired by catwalk trends for JRC's current showroom range. I made amendments to designs, created colourways and put designs into repeat. Clients included ASOS, Dorothy Perkins, Topshop, Primark, Tesco to name a few.

• Designing prints for the womenswear market, inspired by catwalk trends and own inspiration. My prints were sold internationally, across Britain, America, South Africa, Australia and Japan.

• Designing original prints primarily for M&S womenswear, working across all departments; dresses,blouses, skirt, trousers, outerwear.• Creating detailed design packs for factories in China, and getting artworks manufacture ready.• Colour matching all palettes to Pantones and checking strike offs against specified colour standards.Working with factories and sales team to develop commercial and cost effective print layouts. Knowledge of garment manufacture and pattern cutting, including pattern lays and costings.• Translating key trends into commercial print ideas. Create mood boards to be able to convey ideas quickly and easily to clients.• Managing a small team of 2 other junior designers, providing training where necessary and delegating workload.

-Producing collections of commercial printed textile concepts for the high street market using sublimation and digital print processes.

• Producing trend led commercial collections of prints and embroideries.• Researching trends and setting colour palettes and briefs for the whole studio team.

• Produced embroidered and embellished garment swatch samples for a wide variety of clients. Used fabrics and materials to produce highly detailed yet commercial designs.
