I am a registered patent attorney and partner at Lee & Hayes, PC. I'm passionate about protecting inventions in cross-disciplinary technologies that push the boundaries of engineering and life sciences. I practice strategic patent prosecution and patent application preparation, particularly in the areas of bioengineering, medical devices, bioinformatics, materials science, acoustics, imaging, telecommunications, cloud computing, and computer security.My clients include start-ups, mature businesses, and universities. I work closely with in-house counsel and innovators to develop patent portfolio strategies that address and anticipate their business goals. I've also had experience working as a secondee in an in-house patent department. To address the gender gap in innovation, I work regularly with clients on efforts to encourage women to submit ideas for patenting. I also actively support local organizations committed to efforts that will diversify the pipeline of future inventors and patent practitioners.
