Supporting regional communications for central Govt departments and executive agencies. Involvement in briefings and media relations supporting Ministerial visits.• Devised, delivered and implemented communications strategies and projects for a wide variety of Whitehall Departments including Prime Minister’s Office, Deputy Prime Minister’s Office, UK Trade & Investment, Department for Transport, Department for Communities and Local Government, Ofsted, Department for Education, Highways Agency, Health and Safety Executive, and Home Office.• Advised on the itinerary for and facilitated Ministerial and Royal visits across the North East. During the Tony Blair premiership I facilitated numerous PM visits to a range of venues including biofuel sites, schools and sporting/leisure facilities.• April/May 2007 successfully completed six week secondment to the Strategic Communications Unit at No 10 Downing Street where I contributed to PM briefings and forward planning for Government announcements and visits. • Devised and delivered targeted media and presentation skills training for a variety of Government, business and third sector clients.• Directly managed two staff based in Newcastle and led/mentored across the network of 19 people on Transport issues.
