Provided one-to-one coaching to founders of early-stage companies in all aspects of market and investor readiness.Developed and taught entrepreneurship throughout FIU: Global Social Entrepreneurship in the Honors College, Technology Entrepreneurship in the Engineering Masters program and in the Environmental Sciences department, Environmental Entrepreneurship.

EcoMyths Alliance had a very successful nine years reaching hundreds of thousands of people making it easy to be green. Our unique combination of humor and world-class science busted misconceptions about how people impact the natural environment in their daily lives. I co- hosted a Chicago Public Radio series and podcast for 5 years interviewing top scientists. In 2015, BBC World Service radio got wind of EcoMyths and invited me as a featured guest on their nightly world business show.EcoMyths alliance was a consortium of 25 top environmental institutional partners who together planned the editorial schedule each year and provided their scientists to bust the myths. The Alliance included the Field Museum of Natural History, the Shedd Aquarium, Alliance for the Great Lakes and many other luminary Chicago institutions, as well as the National Environmental Education Foundation (NEEF) and the National Wildlife Federation (NWF), both of whom asked to join EcoMyths once they learned about us. Our core values were commitment to sharing credible, verified science while also making the process and the output witty and hopeful, with actions that are easy to achieve in people’s daily lives.

One of the oldest land trusts in the country and a pioneer in the area of conservation development. Served on the executive committee for 18 years, founded the highly successful Conservation Science Committee, collaborated with City government to study the financial impacts of local land preservation, and served as Chair of the Board.

Led the international update of the North American Botanic Garden Plant Conservation Strategy with a coalition of environmental leaders to align with the global goals. Initiated a North American endangered plant protection coalition and served on a global subcommittee of the Convention on Biological Diversity.BGCI, with over 500 botanic garden members in 96 countries, provides a global voice for all botanic gardens, as well as information and tools for saving the world's endangered plants. It is the world authority on botanic gardens and plant conservation and the only global organization devoted to conserving the world’s plant diversity.

We developed and readied for market diagnostic medical imaging systems for reading x-rays, CTs, and MRIs at a time when these images were still being read using film, based on technology originally developed at the University of Chicago Medical Center. Customers included University of Chicago, University of Washington, and many other teaching hospitals and radiology clinics throughout the US and Europe.
