Based in the social policy division of this research consultancy, specialising in children, young people and families, education and skills and social welfare and labour markets. Responsible for the acquisition, development and implementation of projects for a range of clients including central government departments, local authorities and third sector organisations. Involved in all aspects of research, from the design of methodologies and project plans through to presenting findings and conclusions in both written and verbal formats.

Contributing to the management and direction of the organisation, based in north-west Leeds.

Providing research, capacity-building advice and support to third sector organisations. Expertise includes: monitoring; evaluation; demonstrating impact and compliance with funders' requirements. Also available to undertake bid assessments on behalf of grant-giving organisations, and to directly deliver research and evaluation projects.

Managing central government grant funding to third sector organisations providing services for young people. With a caseload of ten organisations nationally (receiving £7 million in grant funding), I had responsibility for managing and monitoring spend and performance, as well as coordinating bespoke capacity-building support to each.

Involved in all aspects of research, from the design of methodologies and project plans through to presenting findings and conclusions in both written and verbal formats. Responsible, as a research manager, for successfully delivering a number of projects with a value of up to £50,000.

Responsibility for responding to the public enquiry line, maintaining the organisation’s library, conducting literature searches and sourcing information from the media and professional journals. Also gathering data for responses to Parliamentary Questions.
