Currently working as an accessories design intern for Katie Hillier.I recently graduated from the University of Brighton with a First Class Honours in Fashion Design with Business Studies, for which I designed and produced a small collection. I was a very involved member of our fundraising and organising committee during final year, which involved leading meetings, co-ordinating events, managing groups, heading up hair and makeup for our fashion film, and producing our graduate fashion show.After graduating I worked as a seamstress for a sustainable made to order Manchester based brand. I enjoyed my time here improving my skills in garment manufacture and gaining greater understanding of how a smaller, sustainable business is run.Ahead of third year, I interned as design assistant at Aries Arise. In this role I enjoyed researching for collections, pitching colour ways, and toiling in the studio. I was aware of multiple projects over multiple departments at a time which was very interesting and was fortunate to meet with some of the brands' many collaborators. I learnt a lot about hand dyeing during my time at Aries and brought this interest into my own collection in which I developed natural dyes to "bruise" fabrics.
