Review SpecialistKate Brunner KC is currently chairing a large Independent Review (non-statutory Inquiry) into the Isle of Man Government's handling of the pandemic, building on her review and investigation work as Leader of Circuit. Kate recruited and leads a team of experts and researchers, and designed the methodology. The Review is looking at sixteen areas including governance structures, emergency planning, education, healthcare, vaccination, communications etc, and has gathered evidence from hundreds of people including Ministers, civil servants, business leaders and bereaved individuals. As well as chairing monthly Board meetings to determine appeals from a panel against decisions relating to breaches of the industry code of practice, Kate provides guidance on the Board's procedure and constitution, and leads on training and appraisal. AdvocacyKate Brunner KC has a busy practice in serious crime, regulatory work, inquests and family fact-finding.
