Kate Horton is an accomplished executive with over 20 years of progressive leadership experience in both the private and nonprofit sectors. Kate currently serves as the President & Chief Executive Officer of Ronald McDonald House Charities Canada, the national foundation of support for 35 RMHC program locations across Canada; funding, enabling and championing an essential social mission serving families with sick children, coast to coast to coast. Throughout her career, Kate has been an advocate for children, youth and families. Her experience includes working provincially and nationally to improve outcomes and deliver meaningful social impact in complex, multi-level organizations, as well as grassroots, community-based nonprofits.As a recognized non-profit leader, Kate is known for her entrepreneurial, insights-driven and collaborative approach, with a proven track record of innovation – developing new revenue opportunities and transforming organizations to effectively scale social impact. She is passionate about inspiring and empowering a values-based, inclusive culture, partnering with diverse stakeholders to define a shared vision, set bold strategy, and drive meaningful results to improve the lives of Canada’s children, youth and families.
