Kate is a business lover and leader. A hospitality, experience and strategy specialist with a passion for supporting impactful businesses and enterprising founders. She's founder & imagineer at Every Bit Counts, an advisory in action collective guiding organisations to achieve better outcomes and a brighter future for people and planet. Previous roles include founding and driving the strategic growth of leading event company, En Pointe Events, founding innovative catering company Bright Young Things & reimagining healthy - fun - party food. She's held leadership and advisory roles with AmazingCo, the University of Melbourne, Good Flock, The Nappy Collective and Abound Communities. Through her businesses, Kate has spent eight years working with the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival, first as a caterer supporting some of the world’s best chefs and, over four years, the design partner for the World’s Longest Lunch and their Festival Hub. Her work as resulted in selection as a finalist at two Australia wide design awards. Kate also established En Pointe Events as the property event experts, delivering more than 100 successful property events (including a Guinness World Record for Woodlea - currently shortlisted in the Urban Developer Awards, for Excellence in Community Engagement).Prior to founding her own businesses, Kate worked on international events including the Monaco Grand Prix, Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday and the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival.A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of Melbourne put Kate in good stead for a life in business, starting her first company in 2009.Kate is active in the startup and tech scene, as well as in the community. She is a graduate of the AICD, a mentor with The Australian Disability Network and in 2020 she participated in the renowned Williamson Community Leadership Program. Her incredible attention to detail is matched by her big-picture view. She has influenced the catering sector in Australia, revolutionised what healthy menus can look like and is leading the way in driving positive action for aligned clients and delivering projects in a way that achieves legacy.
