I am a currently a university student studying a Bachelor of Sports Development and Bachelor of Business at Griffith University. Since a young age, I've always had a passion for sports, growing up with older brothers, I found myself always wanting to join in on the wrestling matches and ball games. My sporting journey started off with competing in my school's cross-country where my love for running took form, however, as I grew older my passion changed and my new love became team sports.My passion for sport developed as I became highly motivated to succeed in my chosen sports and turn my passion into a professional career, representing Australia in both Touch Football and Oztag. Throughout my career, the importance of team-work, effective communication, strong work ethic, adaptability, time management and resilience was highlighted as key skills for an individual. These skills allow me to have the opportunity to get involved in the sporting industry at Redlands College, with organising events, coaching young students and learning how to involve students in sports, this allowed me to get a taste of what it is like to be involved in managing and organising sporting teams and events in the school environment, while also coaching grass-root athletes. From experiences that I have gained, it has allowed myself to set goals for my future to work alongside children or elite athletes, as I still see myself living an active lifestyle, pushing myself to achieve my goals while playing high level sport. By playing team sports it allows myself to be involved in the community, working with younger children, high level coaches and sports development officers allowing my passion of being involved in the sporting industry and sports to be shown to others.
