I was engaged on a short-term part-time contract to use my strong stakeholder engagement skills and previous experience to deliver QTC's global markets conference in partnership with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.

As the Senior Account Manager, I was responsible for managing several client accounts including peak industry bodies and membership-based organisations, as well as providing communication and PR activities for other clients.

As the Principal Specialist, Communications and Marketing, I led the team responsible for communicating Council’s services and operations, marketing of the Scenic Rim as a visitor destination, implementing best practice community and stakeholder engagement for key projects, as well as providing graphic design services. Specifically recruited to this role with a mandate to elevate the communication and marketing function at both the strategic and operational level, I worked closely with Mayor, Councillors and the Executive Leadership team, to provide advice on Council's communication with the community and key stakeholders, as well as on political issues impacting the Scenic Rim local government area.

In this role, I worked with executives and senior leaders to develop high quality external and internal communication. I identified proactive media and social media opportunities to elevate the Company’s brand in regional centres. I represented the media team as part of organisational incident management teams during major operational incidents and crisis to manage reputation externally. I developed holding statements outlining the Company’s position on transformational programs, regulatory and industry issues.

As the Queensland Government’s central financing authority, Queensland Treasury Corporation (QTC) plays a pivotal role in securing the State’s financial success.In this role I managed the development, delivery and implementation of QTC’s global financial markets communication and marketing strategy, and provided strategic communication advice and key messages to deliver QTC’s investor relations program of roadshows, events and conferences.I worked closely with QTC executives to develop communication material to support QTC’s reputation, and manage relationships with key stakeholders (ministerial offices, Queensland Treasury, TIQ, QIC and global and domestic banks).I managed all media activity including responding to media requests from global financial media outlets. I developed and implemented QTC’s annual proactive media plan to build its reputation with global institutional investors. I also coordinated media activities and interviews with the Treasurer’s office and media team to ensure messaging about the State’s economic and fiscal position reached QTC’s global investor base.I researched, wrote and coordinated the production of all QTC’s external marketing and communication materials in relation to its funding activities (media releases, market announcements, investor updates, briefings, reports, presentations, fact sheets, prospectuses, videos, webinars and website content). I also wrote for corporate publications (annual reports, corporate plans, parliamentary responses, incoming government briefs, regulatory papers and presentations for global credit rating agencies).I managed a team to deliver QTC’s external communication and marketing activities (client products and services marketing, external events and sponsorships, client education marketing and online channel delivery), and provided high-level support to the Executive Director, Corporate Affairs & Governance for corporate communication activities.

The CRCNPB coordinates and manages plant biosecurity scientific research and education activities across Australia.Responsibilities• Managed the CRCNPB’s external and internal communication activities. • Provided strategic communication advice for the CEO and Board and assisted with all corporate planning activities.• Initiated quarterly reporting to the Board on the CRCNPB’s public relations activities.• Managed CRCNPB’s brand identity (and refresh) internally and externally through effective and consistent communication and by identifying sponsorship opportunities.• Managed all media activity including writing and distributing media releases, monitoring media and working with agricultural and science print and radio journalists.Achievements• Managed a complete brand refresh of all external and internal communication collateral, including the development of a complete new corporate website with features including a members’ centre, online library of scientific publications and online newsletters.• Successfully managed an inaugural international biosecurity conference ($32,000 under budget) with more than 450 delegates participating from 25 countries.• Received a combined Board/CEO award in appreciation of my enthusiasm, dedication and commitment to the CRCNPB’s communication portfolio.• Managed the Communication Officer’s priorities, tasks and performance planning/review process. JCU is Australia's leading tropical research university.Achievements• Managed a project to move all existing website content to a new content management system and provided advice on navigational structure and hierarchy.• Provided communication advice to the project management team in regard to a university wide online enrolment project. TEL is the peak development, marketing and promotional organisation for the North Queensland region. Responsibilities• Provided a high level of communication support to the Conventions and Events team including publications and collateral management, writing and publishing industry newsletters, and assisting with corporate familiarisation tours.

QTC provides debt funding, financial and risk management advice, and short-term investments for Queensland’s public sector.Responsibilities• Developed and published QTC’s corporate newsletter, as well as other financial product brochures, corporate publications, prospectuses and reports.• Managed QTC’s media brief to monitor key client and corporate issues and managed contract with Media Monitors.• Managed corporate events and conferences to budget and timeframes, and developed an internal events management guide.• Coordinated, prepared and published website content.• Monitored use of QTC’s corporate identity to maintain brand integrity. Managed the redevelopment of corporate templates.
