In my short time with the Bank, I was hands on with the reviewing and revamping the current loan review policy to more accurately reflect the Bank’s standards and portfolio. I began creating a process work-flow to ensure consistent and efficient completion of loan reviews as required by policy and assisted in performing high level reviews of existing credits. I took lead on unearthing and queuing up stale reviews to be completed (based on priority and degree of past due). As a management role, I also started overseeing a Loan Review Analyst. Though short-lived, my experience at Capital Bank was fruitful professionally and personally. I left on good terms to relocate to Southern Virginia. Show less

I grew to work largely independently while prioritizing my workflow with minimal supervision from the VP, Credit Officer. As Credit Officer, I also trained a “green” colleague in credit analysis including spreading, cash flow, and analysis basics. As a result of the training, she went on to fill my Credit Analyst role shortly after I left the Bank.In my role I worked hand in hand with commercial lenders, loan and credit administration, and senior management. I also attended and often participated in weekly loan committee. Outside of my title specified duties, I also served in reviewing both commercial and residential appraisals, completing internal evaluations of properties under a certain threshold, and ordering and reviewing of soft pull environmental studies. In addition, I served as a back up for ordering both residential and commercial appraisals for the Bank, including sourcing bids. I was active in bank-sponsored community events such as charity days, local running races, and other volunteer activities. Show less
