I support ProInspire's mission to develop leaders at all levels for organizations addressing the world's greatest challenges, through creative storytelling, written content, and other communications. I manage all of ProInspire's communications and collaborate closely with our Communications Advisor, CEO, and executive team to identify opportunities to spur innovative thought leadership in the nonprofit sector and create content to do so.Member of 2017 Fellowship Cohort.

I managed a team of three that focuses on growing existing chapters and starting new chapters of the Roosevelt Institute across the Mid-Atlantic Region. So far, we have been successful in launching five new chapter in the region and have seen significant development in the twelve existing chapters. In addition to working with chapters, I organized a two-day conference that focused on water security and policy writing that hosted over 50 attendees from across the Mid-Atlantic Region. Currently, I am working on organizing lobbying efforts in Richmond, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C.

I managed an executive board of 11 people. Over the past three years I coordinated 50 events that included a one on one with U.S. State Department Press Secretary John Kirby, a sexual assault demonstration that garnered national attention, and a Jeffersonian Banquet that was co-sponsored by ten other student organizations and had over 200 attendees. I have created fact sheets and background guides for 7 different policy teams (Economic Development, Education, Energy and Environment, Equal Justice, Foreign Policy, and Healthcare). Additionally I instituted the use of the communication platforms, Slack and Trello. In my time as Vice President and President, Roosevelt @ Mason won "Best New Chapter (2015)" and "Best Chapter (2016)" out of 160 chapters from the Roosevelt Institute.Additionally, I was published in the 2016 10 Ideas Education Journal and edited over 11 published policies in the 10 Ideas Policy Series.

I planned and budgeted for an entire terms worth of events, including fundraisers, a garden party, pub quizzes, campaigning events, and crew dates. I personally brought in speakers, such as Sophie Walker, leader of the Women’s Equality Party, to events.

Along with the Communications Manager, I drafted several op-eds, press releases, and media blasts about the policy work Friends was focusing on. I also added contacts to press lists that targeted getting the message of Friends to different campaigns, such as World AIDS Day and International Day of the Girl. In addition, I would work with the policy intern to provide research support and background guides for the Policy team. My final project for Friends was research that focused on the best way to combat the spread of HIV/AIDS to young women and girls in sub-Saharan Africa. During my last week I was able to introduce a new communications and management tool, Trello, to the entire office.

I researched and worked with donors to meet the fundraising goal of $20,000 during the first 4 months of the campaign. I also assisted a team that organized events from campaign kick-off to parades. Additionally, I created forms and information packets for all staff and interns to utilize when conducting research and calling donors.

I developed lesson plans for online Entrepreneurial education courses and webinars. Furthermore, I evaluated small business plans to award grants ranging from $10,000- $50,000.

I worked with the Director of State Relations on a lobbying event that brought 150 George Mason students to Richmond, VA to lobby for polices that directly affected the student body. Collaborated with state representatives to strengthen the relationship between George Mason and elected officials.

I taught over 200 middle and high-school students in the art of rhetorical communication, including lesson planning, scheduling daily activities, and coordinating practices. I also worked as a lab assistant to develop 20 students specialized speeches.

I consulted on a number of Master Planning Meetings and worked with the Director of Facilities on developing several statements surrounding what the students of George Mason wanted for facilities additions and changes for the campus. Also analyzed the results from over 1,000 surveys from the student body to pinpoint focus areas.

I managed the master schedule of all teachers and 60 students, while also organizing 5 concerts annually at multiple venues across Houston, Texas. Additionally I was in constant communication with over 500 parents about payments, scheduling, and progress. Finally I for hired and supervised two other office secretaries.
