Recent graduate from the University of Arizona majoring in Political Science and Criminology. Several years spent interning within the criminal justice system where I gained experience and skills related to understanding the inner workings of the legal system. I have worked as a customer service associate for over three years where I have gained valuable interpersonal and management skills. I currently am working at the City of Tucson's Prosecutors Office as a litigation support clerk. My main responsibility is being in charge of the litigation database, Justware, and document organization for new and old cases. Documents include minute entries, police reports, citations, victim information cards, and pretrial service reports. I am in jail arraignments so we get a large number of defendants in both the AM and PM calendars. It is crucial to never miss a single docket and to be consistent with the different events, tasks and personnel included in each case. Keeping track of our “rush” date for victim notices is imperative when going through each minute entry. By having a lot of cases I also obtain a large amount of paperwork. Keeping these documents organized daily creates a more structured workflow for a successful environment.
