As part of the Iraq Focus Cell, I produced datasets depicting ethnicity and religious sects as part of NGA's support in the fight against ISIS. Provided translations of foreign language open source research and transliteration of geographic names to help identify locations mentioned in open source reporting. Followed Arabic news outlets and social media accounts of terrorist networks to provide translations of emerging information. Tracked protests and demonstrations in Egypt, Libya, and Yemen following the Arab Spring. Monitored conflicts in Syria and Jordan throughout the development of the Syrian Civil War.
