Within Hilton's Corporate Responsibility team, I managed corporate volunteering and community engagement for social impact programs at Hilton's headquarters. I developed the company's COVID-19 guidelines for community engagement and safe volunteering.

I designed, wrote, and reviewed proposals for anti-human trafficking, anti-child labor, improved livelihoods, and education programs, securing $110 million in new business. I managed anti-human trafficking programs in Bangladesh and Nepal totaling $25 million in US and UK government funding, focused on preventing trafficking, access to services and care for 4,125 victims, and prosecution of traffickers.

In addition to managing two multi-million dollar programs in South Asia, I served as co-lead for the D.C.-based anti-human trafficking team which aimed to strengthen knowledge management and cross-program coordination. I assisted the country teams to identify gaps in expertise during program design, explore partnership opportunities with businesses and nonprofits, vet and contract finalists, and supervise their work. At the request of management, I mentored five new hires and supervised interns. I recruited, hired, and managed in-country personnel and responded to human resources needs for in-country teams of up to 32 staff members.

I managed child labor reduction programs in Malawi and Zambia totaling $4.5 million in private funding, focused on prevention, reintegration of children into school and economic empowerment of their families. I also led the team’s social media campaigns and twitter chats for world commemoration days (e.g., World Day Against Human Trafficking, World Day Against Child Labor). I ensured timely and quality qualitative and quantitative reporting and guaranteed that programs comply with Winrock and funder procedures and stay within budget.

I managed proposal efforts for youth empowerment, combatting gender-based violence, and education programs totaling $27.7 million in US government funding. I was hired on permanently before the end of the internship.

For Capital One's HSBC Migration team, I directed teambuilding initiatives including community service activities and diversity events. I expanded the scope of the role by taking ownership of written mass communications for the department and coordinated 200 hours of meetings per week for a managing vice president and four directors.

For InterAction's three-day annual forum, I managed seven workshops for international development practitioners to meet and exchange best practices. Post-forum, I wrote four articles highlighting best practices identified during Forum workshops which InterAction published in the July 2012 edition of their magazine. I also recruited and supervised 30 undergraduate student volunteers for the forum, maintained the Forum databases and website, populated iPhone application content, and edited all Forum materials.
