• Reviewed 47 Emergency Preparedness Guides and assessed their accessibility for people with disabilities through font size, reading level, use of illustrations, presence of disability specific directions, overall ease of information and wrote a resource summary. • Created an Emergency Preparedness Resource Guide by compiling all the reviews of Emergency Preparedness Guides into one booklet complete with quick links to the guides themselves. • Designed and compiled the information for an electric database of phone numbers and addresses for the police, sheriff, office of emergency services, utility companies and fire departments as well as any emergency alert system information for all countries in California.

Greater Los Angeles Area

• Taught a class on civic responsibility to students with developmental disabilities. From this class the students decided to support the L.A. Animal Shelter by organizing a supply drive.• Started and oversaw a student run recycling program in the Pathway dormitories. All proceeds were donated to the American Red Cross Haiti Relief and Development fund. • Coordinated and oversaw the participation of twelve Pathway students in a day long cleanup of an elementary school as part of Disney's "Give a Day-Get a Day" campaign. Then, with the assistance of two volunteers planned and accompanied the twelve students to Disneyland.
