About Kate Bentley
Hello all!I am a recent graduate from James Madison University, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies. I have a concentration in Interpersonal Relations and a minor in Military Leadership. Coursework in Peer & Family Communication, Presentational Speaking, Organizational Communication, Communication Training, and Business & Professional Communication have given me a strong background in understanding and connecting with people. During college, I served my time in Army ROTC to develop my leadership and military professional skills. I was the Executive Officer for the Duke Battalion, where I oversaw staff and coordinated events while being our Battalion Commander's right-hand man. In addition to ROTC, I was an engaged member of my sorority Tri Delta. I was a member of our Executive Officer Slate Committee; I interviewed prospective officers, understood strength management, and organized our members into positions where they will thrive.After college, I commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army's Adjutant General Corps and have since graduated the Adjutant General Basic Officer Leader Course. As an officer serving in this corps, I am able to further enhance my HR skills, collaborate with and assist people with their everyday needs, and maintain my unit's readiness to serve! I am very excited to see where the Army takes me in my career.Aside from my studies and service, I am a creative entrepreneur. Over the past six years, I have developed a clothing sales business through social media and my personal connections. Through this platform, I express my creativity and eye for aesthetics, while also building a small business. This combination of education and experience has cultivated me into having a craving for service, a desire to build deep connections with people, and the ability to push my ingenuity and positive energy forward through creative expression.
