I am an Officer with Pew’s coastal wetlands project, helping support countries to develop the scientific framework needed to ensure strong protections for coastal wetlands and coral reefs. Before joining Pew, I managed Caribbean coral reef and whale shark research in Honduras and developed GIS mapping tools for marine protected areas to better engage local stakeholders with coastal environmental laws. I have a bachelor’s degree in ecology and evolutionary biology from the University of California, Berkeley, and a master’s in marine biodiversity and conservation from Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego. I also have master’s degrees in environmental management and business administration from Yale University.

Scholarship is valued at $10,000 USD.3. Expanded research internship capacity in 2017 by 76% compared to 2015 numbers.4. Created first comprehensive business model of sustainable office practices on-site, with a zero-tolerance for single-use plastics among research staff and interns, and a nurtured culture of education in plastic use and sustainable seafood consumption.
