Role: Working under the supervision of the Support Manager, provide SeisWare support, services and training for geophysicists and technologists. Responsibilities: Troubleshooting clients’ technical and software problems, data loading, software installation and configuration. Communicating daily with programmers explaining complex geophysical and geological concepts and software requests. Responsible for creating internal and external training materials, and procedure documents. Demonstrating software and running training sessions for clients.

Role: Worked 8 months under the supervision of the Southern Alberta Exploration Manager.Major Projects:Bow Island Mapping Project MAY 2007 - DECEMBER 2007Completed mapping of all lower to middle cycles of the Bow Island Formation, as well as transgressive conglomerate deposits preserved. Individualized porosity cut-offs were made in seven zones, based on core porosity-permeability data, and gamma ray cut off. Data was entered into Excel to calculate water saturation for individual zones in over 600 wells examined. Final presentation made to management. One well was tested during the contract, with greater than expected results.

Role: Worked three summers full time, and three semesters part time, under the supervision of several Project Geologists, providing geotechnical support to the Shallow Gas Team, including coping logs, drafting maps, constructing cross-sections ,preparing expiry packages for the Land Department, filling out multi-well drilling program forms and performing regional Stratigraphic mapping throughout the Milk River Formation, Colorado Shales, and Medicine Hat Formation. Major Projects:Basal Belly River Project MAY 2006 - SEPTEMBER 2006Complete evaluation of the potential in the Basal Belly River, in a previously drilled field, including core examination, thin section analysis (outsourced), XRD work (outsourced), correlation of prograding shorefaces, determination of trapping mechanism, making maps to convey the potential (Gross Sand, Net Pay, Structure), examining previous production to determine the cased hole and open hole log cut-offs, recompleting test locations, making recommendations to the Land department about positive future acquisition locations, leaving the team with a list of further recommended recompletions, including methods to avoid, a final project report and presentation to management. Second White Specks Project MAY 2005 - SEPTEMBER 2005 Evaluation of marginal Second White Specks property owned, with the goal of providing an add-on zone for future wells by mapping the SP response, deep resistivity, gross sand, density-porosity and neutron porosity, to develop a formula, based on existing production rates, to estimate future production potential. With the help of my supervisor, I was able to tie a gravity anomaly survey to existing Milk River production in the field, which was my supervisor’s area of interest. Then I prepared my findings, and presented to management.
