I am currently employed as the head of sport sales and operations at Halsbury Travel. As a department we are responsible for delivering exceptional group school and club sports tours. My role as the department manager is diverse and covers a variety of tasks and responsibilities. Managing a team of three employees and developing/implementing department targets means that I have gained an excellent understanding of the processes involved in securing new and repeat business and increasing turnover/conversation ratios. I have also been responsible for the product development of the brand and worked closely with the marketing team to promote flagship/new offers. As such, within the last year I have directly contributed to a considerable increase in department turnover and greatly improved conversions in both new and repeat business. These two occasions have allowed me to implement my theoretical knowledge into a practical role, which I have found highly rewarding. Throughout this period I was able to positively demonstrate my ability to transcend my strong academic record and produce strong working relationships with curators, artists, event hosts, sponsors and visitors.
