Provided general treatment of patients in an urban slum, including wound care, IV administration, mixing IV drug solutions, and drawing and testing blood for HIV, malaria and tuberculosis.Conducted home visits within the slum and provided HIV counseling to patients.Helped create a medical camp for Somalian refugees, packaging and distributing food and clothing as well as medicine. Joined a local soccer team, Ben Collins United, a group created to keep boys ages 16-24 off the streets and HIV free. Helped initiate/create a team budget and plans to raise money.
