The role involved managing all aspects of each conference including; event logistics, working closely with client chairs and committees, developing and managing event budgets and cash flows, working with sponsors and exhibitors, managing the abstract submission system and working with presenters, building registration systems and managing the delegate registration process, creating marketing and event materials including substantial conference programmes, maintaining the event website and dealing with all external suppliers. In addition, I acted as Secretariat for the UK and Ireland Chapter of ICCA (International Congress and Convention Association), which is the local Chapter of the global membership group who focus on association and conference business throughout the world. This role included management of the Chapter bank accounts, along with the organisation of several Chapter member events a year, taking place around the UK.

I acted as the initial point of contact for any enquiries and was the sole manager of each event from start to finish from the venue perspective, including enquiries, viewings, preparation of quotes, contracting, planning and client liaison, event execution and final billing.
