I am the founder of Upshot Training - Corporate training to maximise you work-life, team and environment.I am an Occupational Therapist in private practice, with Upshot Occupational Therapy, and accept referrals from Doctors and other Health Professionals in the Newcastle, Central Coast and Hunter Valley areas. I love being an Occupational Therapist. And I know I am doing my best work when I am making the most difficult decisions. I am active in several specialty networking groups and I really value my interactions with OTs and other health professionals - they never fail to teach me things, make me laugh and surprise me! I help Doctors with decisions regarding their patient’s driving ability, by conducting a very thorough on and off-road assessment. And communicating the results to the person, Doctor and RMS immediately. I am also able to assist people with disabilities to gain their licence – including recommending engineering modifications to cars to enable people who may not be to drive a regular vehicle to obtain their licence.Additionally – I also provide a “get out of trouble and hit your deadlines” service to Health Professionals and Providers by conducting the following assessments, and delivering my reports in 24 hours, for the following:• ADL Assessments• Worksite Assessments• Functional Capacity Evaluations (Workhab or Insurer-specific)• Ergonomic Assessments – for offices, cars and (yes!) aeroplanes • Pre-employment medicals• Medical case conferencesAND….. Training services – specialising in:• Manual handling training• Corporate training and development – specialising in the soft skills required of second level managers.
