Fall 2022: I am so excited to have committed to the University of California at Berkeley as a Division I athlete this fall! I believe Berkeley is a great fit for me given my strong interests in business and the life sciences. While nurturing my lifelong love of competitive athletics, I will pursue a bachelor degree in Business/Economics and Molecular Cell biology. Rich in pharmaceutical, life science and financial industries, I am excited to explore the Bay Area’s internship and post-graduate opportunities. After Berkeley and some work experience in the life sciences sector, my goal is to pursue an MBA. Complete and unwavering dedication to academics and class discussions has helped me achieve Academic Highest Honors all four years at Phillips Exeter Academy. As a rising senior last summer, I was also named by USRowing to the 2022-2023 National Honor Roll as a result of my athletic grit and academic success. A three-sport varsity athlete, I was honored to be voted captain of both field hockey and crew for the 2022-2023 academic year.Last year (February 2022 -January 2023) I was a member of the eight-person ESSO (Exeter Student Service Organization) Board. I helped oversee the more than forty clubs under the ESSO umbrella as well as their 400+ volunteers. As the Children’s Club Coordinator, I worked closely with the clubs focused on positively impacting children in our community. These include ESSO soccer, art, tutoring, swimming, music lessons, and more. My introduction to ESSO actually started three years ago when I first became a long-term member and then co-head of Gal Pals, a service club that meets with disabled women in the southern New Hampshire area to provide support and form meaningful connections.Today, I am co-head of Exeter club Females for Finance, which aims to create a comfortable environment to invite young women into the discussion of business and economics. The original program was founded in 2018 by female undergraduates at Yale University. Their goal was to bridge the gender inequalities in the financial industry by empowering high school girls with a foundation in financial literacy, investments, and the necessary skills to build a career in finance. My sophomore year, I created a local chapter of Females for Finance at Exeter. A dream of mine is to carry this forward, creating or advancing corporate cultures that foster welcoming environments for women.
