In my current role as a cashier, I am responsible for inputing customer orders using a POS system, and ensuring service is accurate and prompt. I assist baristas in preparing a variety of beverages including coffee, tea, and juice. I create signage to advertise both seasonal and year-round products. My role also involves monitoring and managing inventory levels, which includes conducting regular stock checks. I ensure the café remains clean and organized during busy days on campus, which creates a welcoming environment for patrons. Additionally, I run food and beverages to customers and perform both opening and closing duties. Collaboration with team members is crucial as we work together to maintain quality service and operational efficiency.

I nannied for the same family in both the summers of 2023 and 2024. I provided care for two children, now ages 5 and 3. In this position, I developed a strong communication with the parents to to provide updates on children's needs, conflicts, and achievements. I handled challenging behavioral issues by using appropriate discipline and communication strategies. I kept the children engaged in educational activities, which promoted intellectual development. I collaborated closely with the parents in maintaining boundaries/rules within the household. Prior to this position, I received my certification in Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED through American Red Cross.

During my employment with this company, I worked as both a team member and a trainer. This position allowed me to develop entry-level experience into the food industry. In this fast-paced work environment, I learned important skills such as customer interaction/service, providing accurate & efficient service, upselling strategies, teamwork & cooperation with others, and utilizing a POS system. Additionally, working for this company aided my abilities to work under pressure and manage multiple responsibilities at once.
