I am a strategic, motivational leader at executive and non-executive level, delivering stakeholder value to both large private and public businesses as well as having developed a number of start ups. I have a strategic and highly commercial approach backed by strong values and integrity. My experience ranges across Higher Education, EdTech, digital and traditional publishing in both research and teaching and learning as well as SaaS and e-commerce business models. I led SAGE Publishing International for over 15 years through a period of significant growth and organisational complexity and have extensive experience of building and inspiring successful teams so as to drive business growth, manage change and enable operational efficiency. I have grown two early stage businesses to the point of sale and have experience of finance raising and working with PEs. Internationally, I have worked with India and Asian markets for many years and have a keen interest in developing new markets and understanding different cultures. I have over 20 years expertise in M&A and am a tenacious negotiator as well as a facilitator of commercial rigour and good governance. As a leader, I am particularly focused on diversity, equity and inclusion and on enabling individuals at all levels to succeed. I care about the people with whom I work and am an active mentor.
