It was a safe space for all females who were street working in the area irrespective of whether they were a client of CGL or not.Outreaching the homeless clients within the borough. This involves outreaching at 5am and assessing clients if possible on the street or arranging appointment times for clients to be seen at an alternative time and location that it more convenient.

Worked with the most complex service users who had a mixture of unmanaged mental and physical health needs. Clients also suffered with homelessness, lack of financial assistance, domestic abuse, offending histories, sex working etc. My role included the following:• Completing comprehensive assessments of client’s needs and formulating care plans that are SMART focused. • I worked with challenging clients who were often ambivalent regarding their treatment so I would have to use a lot of motivational interviewing techniques.• Risk assessing clients which not only informed our service how to manage and respond to client need but also informed other agencies as to how to manage mutual clients. • Assessing clients for residential detox and rehab.• Attendance at funding panel meetings to collaboratively review cases with commissioners regarding whether clients should be awarded funding for residential treatment. • Member of MARAC panel-to review the most high risk domestic abuse cases in the borough.• Liaison with mental health services including attending ward rounds, attending review meetings. • Liaison with police, probation and prisons.• Led on HIV awareness within the service.
