I was initially hired in as the front desk manager. I trained the desk team, improved the customer experience, increased sales and was promoted to general manager. As general manager, I oversaw all operations of the business. I managed the business's inventory and ordering, making sure budgets were upheld and shrinkage was kept low. I tracked all placed and receiving orders with all distributers.Most of my time was spent with the front desk team and stylists. I coached and evaluated the team members, constantly brainstorming with the management team on how to make our customer experience stand out from the rest. I met with the staff on a daily basis to go over the salon's goals as well as the team's individual goals.I had the privilege of being extremely involved in the business's event planning. I assisted in the coordination of the holiday open houses, which were very successful. I took on all responsibilities in coordinating a "cut-a-thon" fundraiser, benefiting a community member in her fight against cancer.Communication played an extremely large role in my position as GM. I communicated with clients on a daily basis via phone, email and social media. I am well-versed in client relations, particularly through Outlook, Mail Chimp and Demand Force.During my employment, I completed management and leadership courses at the Bumble and bumble University in New York City: "Business Immersion" and "Leadership: Know Your Strengths." I also completed multiple leadership and coaching class through Aveda. I attended all business forums to discuss and share marketing, management, and sales goals and strategies. Most recently, I completed the NST course "The Supervisor's Role as Trainer & Coach" in Cleveland, Ohio.
