I believe true transformational leadership is possible when both active listening and the love of learning couple with the art of tending to the hearts and minds of people. This creates a platform for trust to grow. And yet, inclusion and belonging must be fostered to ensure healthy growth. It is in this space where creativity and teamwork flourish, and where teams deliver on potential. It is in this space where one can contribute as their authentic self and be acknowledged for their part of the gestalt.I have worked with many great people over 30 plus years in the field of mental health and substance use. I have been at the arm of passionate senior management executives and colleagues who have demonstrated culture shifting leadership and vision- to all of you, I can simply say thank you! You have provided me ample lessons in leadership, social service administration, grant administration and contract management, budget planning, strategic planning, organizational development, and clinical oversight. You have afforded me time and space to develop as an executive. My extensive knowledge of the health care service delivery system and advanced training in behavioral health care integration would not be possible without you. My work as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, Equine Assisted Therapy Practitioner, Coordinating Producer of Promotions at Ewers Brothers Productions, and my many non-profit leadership roles all have provided me valuable opportunities to finesse my talents.So, please join me and our BHSN team as we work to address the mental health needs of our community.
