In addition, I am the 2L Representative for the Madison Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta. I am a student member of the American Bar Association and Rhode Island Bar Association. While interning in the Legal Department at RIHousing Mortgage and Finance Corporation, I supported the attorneys and legal staff in various ways. I researched and answered legal questions, helped to revise corporate regulations per updated law, and drafted legal documents. I balanced interdepartmental tasks and a research project, which involved composing a research question, action plan, research paper, and PowerPoint presentation and conducting interviews.

As a Program Representative of the RentReliefRI program, I have approved several thousand applications, which gave federal grants to struggling Rhode Island renters to pay their rent. To approve a case, I reviewed and verified documentation to determine eligibility for RentReliefRI funding. As an Investigative Intern at the Rhode Island Commission for Human Rights, I assisted in civil rights violations investigations. In particular, I read case files and helped my supervising attorney determine whether probable cause existed in order to push the case forward. I also drafted subpoenas, summaries, determinations, requests for information, and ten-day letters.
