NMC registered nurse with extensive post registration experience in a variety of disciplines including strong Neurology background. Employed by IQVIA since 2006. Currently working on a project with people with MS - training on self-administration of injectable therapy. Followed by regular touch points with patients for review and supporting adherence to treatment. Previously worked as a Nurse Co-ordinator for patients on treatment pathway for a medicine for Spinal Muscular Atrophy at leading NHS London Hospital. Working closely with Consultant Neurologist and liaising with multi disciplinary team including neuro-radiology consultants, pharmacists , ward nursing staff, junior doctors, physiotherapists. I act as 2nd checker during the administration of intrathecal injections in interventional radiology unit and provide support for the patient before , during and after the procedure.Other past projects include providing telephone support for the parents and patients with cystic fibrosis prescribed CFTR modulators. This includes providing pre treatment education with ongoing support and advice during the first year of treatment.I have previously been responsible for administration of IM injections in patients homes for people with Neuro Endocrine tumours. MS Nurse Adviser role where I acted as an expert advisor to support MS Specialist Nurses with the development and delivery of 1:1 and group based education including adherence and clinical guideline development. 7 years as a MS Clinical Nurse Specialist in secondary care managing a case load of patients from diagnosis through disease trajectory including overseeing DMT provision for 150 patients. For the last 6 months of this project I also fulfilled the role of player-manager. I achieve objectives through being highly motivated and efficient and having excellent communication, organisational and planning skills. I manage my time effectively and put the patient at the forefront of everything I do.
