Katherine S. Chapman serves as Senior Research Manager for T1D Exchange’s Registry & Outcomes Research team and joined the organization in June of 2020 as a Research Assistant I. Her responsibilities include reviewing and managing online surveys, coordinating IRB submissions and other project management activities, including monitoring deadlines. She also oversees participant inquiry/concern responses and participant remuneration distribution, as well as other study closeout tasks. Additionally, she prepares materials for research projects/studies, leads conference presentations, and has led/is leading a few internal studies about diabetes distress and mental health in adults with type 1 diabetes (T1D). Mrs. Chapman is passionate about psychosocial research related to T1D with the hopeful outcome of improving the lived experience of this population. She is currently pursuing her master’s in science degree (MS) in Psychology at Southern New Hampshire University and is expected to graduate in early 2025. Prior to working at T1D Exchange, Mrs. Chapman graduated from Westfield State University as a Commonwealth Honors Scholar. During her undergraduate academic career, she successfully led two IRB-approved research projects involving eye tracking and anxiety. She also completed a summer internship at Yale University.
