As a chemistry and physics teacher at ATERES, I combined my passion for science and education to inspire and empower students to pursue STEM careers. I designed and delivered engaging and interactive lessons that foster curiosity and critical thinking, using my expertise in biomedical engineering and ecology and evolutionary biology. I also leveraged my experience as a biomedical field engineer at Sable Systems International, where I installed, calibrated, and maintained biomedical equipment for research and clinical purposes. Furthermore, I collaborated with researchers, clinicians, and technicians to ensure optimal performance and functionality of the devices, and troubleshooted any issues or malfunctions. Additionally, I contributed to the development and testing of new products and features, applying my skills in molecular and cellular biology, bioinformatics, and data analysis. I hold a Master of Science in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, where I conducted research on developmental biology and gene expression. I also worked as a teaching assistant for undergraduate courses in biology, genetics, and biostatistics, providing academic support and guidance to students. I have strong communication, people management, and leadership skills, and I am always eager to learn new things and take on new challenges.
