Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health PromotionOffice on Smoking and Health Intern, Health Communications Branch * Conducted a variety of research tasks related to various educational media on the risks of smoking such as writing advertising analysis summaries for new television ads to be included in a resource manual available to tobacco prevention advocates and state health departments, aiding with the development of companion health education materials for two video programs developed in collaboration with MTV, and developing a guide for parents on how to talk to their kids about tobacco addiction * Served as a technical reviewer for grant applications, participated in and assisted with the evaluation of the Second Annual Tobacco Use Prevention Institute
