I am a Scientific Program Manager working on the HEALthy Brain and Child Development (HBCD) Study. The HBCD study plans to enroll approximately 7,500 participating families from across the United States and follow them from pregnancy through early childhood. Our goal is to understand how the brain develops and is affected by exposure to substances and other environmental, social, and biological factors during pregnancy and after birth.

Principle Investigators: Drs. Mark Wilson and Mar Sanchez Lead investigator on a translational protocol aimed at identifying the effects of stress and estradiol on amygdala-medial prefrontal cortex circuits using a well-validated rhesus monkey model of chronic psychosocial stress (subordinate social rank). • Designed, implemented, and supervised study procedures in coordination with PIs, collaborators, veterinary staff, and laboratory technicians• Developed analytical pipelines, analyzed, and evaluated neuroimaging data • Results furthered our understanding of the neurobiology underpinning increased vulnerability to stress-related disorders in women
