I’m part of a rare breed of Human Resources professionals who actually studied HR in undergrad. I was sold by the unique mix of business strategy and the ability to help others – years later, as an HR Business Partner, it’s what keeps me engaged in the field. After years in the for-profit space, I was hungry for a mission-driven organization (bonus points if it also offered decent work/life balance for a family my husband and I were hoping to have). I was lucky to join the American College of Cardiology and six+ years later, I feel even more grateful to be part of this meaningful organization that challenges and fulfills me professionally and allows me the flexibility to be the parent I want to be.
