I’m a teacher, but not in the traditional sense of the word. I create content that teaches others new skills and abilities required for their job or for career advancement. That content can be something to read, listen to, watch, or look at (like an infographic). I also work with experts in different fields to help them teach their subject matter expertise to others.My favorite part of what I do is taking a complex topic and breaking it down into simple, digestible content that learners can understand. I also enjoy learning something new and then teaching it to someone else using my ability to explain things in plain language. I’ve developed content on many subjects, including English as a foreign language, leadership, research design, electrical equipment operation and maintenance, electrical safety, how to land aircraft on a Naval aircraft carrier, laboratory science, and much more. I’ve been working in the field of teaching and learning for 10 years and have worked in academia, software development, government, and nonprofit industries.
