Public Affairs: Work with the Rocky Mountain Research Station (RMRS) scientists on communicating their research results to professional and public audiences through media releases and social media. Prepared six science-themed reports for the annual Legislative Affairs Capitol Hill visits in July, synthesizing and highlighting RMRS scientists’ relevant research, including the preparation of the interpretation of records and inventories and the creation of maps.  Prepared and copy-edited the 70-page 2018 Deputy Chief Review Report for RMRS, researching past records and inventories of RMRS business operations, science communication, and past USDA Forest Service Research & Development visioning and strategic communication materials.  Successfully facilitated a three-day meeting for the RMRS ASK (Administrative Support Knowledge) Team of about 40 people, November 6 – 8, 2018.Science Delivery: Act as an in house, one-stop-shop communication and marketing team for the RMRS scientists (clients).  Create dynamic, engaging, and easy to understand science writing materials such as the RMRS Science You Can Use Bulletins, Science Spotlights, and Project Pages.  Serve as a Super Content Creator for the RMRS website, updating the website content using the Drupal platform and HTML coding as necessary. Work directly with RMRS scientists on the language, maps, images, and formatting that best fits their research and audiences.  Successfully organized and facilitated two field workshops/presentations along the Colorado Front Range (one near Red Feather Lakes, the other in the Pike and San Isabel National Forests) in September 2018, with over 70 participants and 15 presenters at each workshop, interpreting natural resources to a public and professional audience (land managers and other agencies) the RMRS General Technical Report 373 “Principles and Practices for the Restoration of Ponderosa Pine and Dry Mixed-Conifer Forests of the Colorado Front Range.”

 Completed a 60-page environmental history and historic context of Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP) Moraine Park Campground, examining the significance of heritage sites identified and recorded, as well as the professional interpretation of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) within the environmental history. Researched, photographed, created maps, and determined historic property significance for the remaining 23 structures within The Alta Vista Historic Landscape District within an appropriate timetable.  Accessed and used Compass, the Colorado Office of Archaeology and Historic Preservation cultural resource database. Based on previous experience on the project through the Historic Preservation Methods course, the City of Fort Collins asked me to facilitate two neighborhood meetings with the residents and property owners within The Alta Vista Historic Landscape District.
