As a designer, I’ve spent my career living in the mosaic of creativity, organization, and developing people. After teaching Graphic Design in Higher Education for almost 15 years, I went for my terminal degree in the arts, an MFA in Film. I wanted credentials that complimented my MS in Communication Design to continue teaching, mentoring, and coaching other young creatives in their career endeavors. While starting to work in the film industry, I fell in love with art direction, extracting every detail from a script to visually communicate the characters and story. However, when my body couldn’t keep up with life on set, I was diagnosed with Lyme disease and mold toxicity. Also certified for Home Staging and Paint Color Consultations, I staged my first vacant home before the pandemic shut everything down. It was a blessing in disguise for me to be able to heal and teach graphics online. Back in my hometown after the pandemic, I reconnected with a college friend whose serial entrepreneurial ways were launching a startup. I joined his team to learn about launching a revolutionary product and building a company when he generously crafted a position for me that combined my creativity and writing/editing skills. Throughout my career, I’ve always been involved with church and a young adult ministry called the Potter's House with creative direction and community leadership. This year, I was trained to be an Unstoppable Growth coach at Seacoast Church and have loved helping people find purpose through listening and asking questions.
