Kathi advocates regularly to educate Congressional and Senate members on amyloidosis and for legislation for all rare diseases.She is a member of the Community Congress, dedicated to bringing patient organizations, industry leaders and other rare disease stakeholders together. The Congress acts as a strategic advisory council, providing advice and insight on urgent policy issues and Foundation programs and initiatives. Kathi is also a member of the Regulatory Science Working Group, Public Policy Working Group, former RDLA Advisory Committee, All Copays Count Coalition, US hATTR Amyloidosis Advisory Board, Research America Alliance member, Alnylam Patient Advocacy Leadership Advisory Board, Eidos Patient Advocacy Organization Leader and an API Ad Hoc Advisory Board. She travels to Washington DC to participate in Rare Disease Week on Capitol Hill. There she attends a legislative conference and a rare disease congressional caucus briefing.
