The mission of the Amyloidosis Foundation is to increase education and awareness of amyloidosis and support research towards a cure. Our services are available to patients, families, caregivers, and others interested in learning more about the disease.
Amyloidosis is a rare disease that manifests itself when amyloid protein deposits accumulate in the body's organs and tissues, ultimately causing organ failure if the deposition is not stopped.
We offer webinars with experts, accurate information & publications, treatment information plus details on clinical trials. One of our objectives is to increase awareness of the disease among the medical community. We accomplish this by participating & exhibiting at medical conferences and providing Grand Rounds speakers. We have a grant program targeting researchers that has awarded over $1.7 million since 2005. www.amyloidosis.org
