Kathleen Gregory Email & Phone Number

I am a social science researcher working in scholarly and science communication. My research focuses particularly on practices and infrastructures related to open science, research data, and research evaluation. Much of my work so far has looked at how researchers engage in discovering, reusing, and understanding data in their daily work. I have a PhD in Science and Technology Studies (STS), and Masters degrees in Education and Library and Information Science. I have completed postdoctoral positions at the Scholarly Communications Lab at the University of Ottawa and at the University of Vienna, where my team and I researched how data visualizations about crisis topics are produced and understood by various publics. My current work involves projects related to research data management (particularly in the Social Sciences and Humanities) as well as analyzing the state of peer review across different domains.
