Providing leadership as Board chair to the Help Lesotho Board of Directors. Accountable for an annual budget of $1.7 million, with 45 staff in Lesotho and 5 staff in Canada, reaching approximately 21,000 beneficiaries per year in Lesotho. Providing psycho social support and building resilience especially for youth in Lesotho.,

Led local staff and partners in integrated community development in approximately 122 targeted rural communities in Cambodia. Developed and implemented a comprehensive program aimed at building partnership among government, business and civil society in Cambodia.

Advised on program development for World Vision programs in Asia and Africa. Supported World Vision teams in resource mobilization. Developed and implemented a program to train youth in enhancing governance in their communities.

Recruited to the NJI to help create and build a group responsible for NJI’s international development projects and to facilitate access to Canadian judges and courts for international partners. Managed 3 full time staff and engaged international and local experts for specific projects and initiatives. Activities included:* Design and management of a $7M CAD 5-year Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) project in the Philippines to support the Philippine Action Program for Judicial Reform. In partnership with the Supreme Court of the Philippines and the Philippine Judicial Academy, the project created model courts to test and demonstrate new approaches to Alternate Dispute Resolution in the courts in the Philippines as well as a partnership with the Philippines Alternative Law Groups to help build a platform for reform especially among poor and marginalized groups.* Design of a $5M CAD 5-year CIDA project in China to enhance the effectiveness of the Chinese judiciary through linkages between the Supreme People’s Court of China and Canadian partners, including the Supreme Court of Canada and the National Judicial Institute.* Assisted in the design of policies and procedures to facilitate access to Canadian judges and courts for international partners.

Worked closely with colleagues to create an independent non-profit organization designed to enhance governance in Canada and internationally, taking responsibility to build its international practice, including securing funding, engaging staff and associates and managing projects.*Organized and facilitated a series of high-level colloquia involving representatives from the public and private sectors in ASEAN countries on a variety of topics related to governance. *Led a team to evaluate an administrative reform program in China funded by the UNDP. *Responsible for planning a Canadian assistance project to support the South African public service in its transition from apartheid to democracy. *Undertook the planning of large projects directed at administrative reform in both the Philippines and Indonesia, involving study tours in Canada, review of needs in the recipient countries and preparation of detailed planning documents.*Opened and managed Malaysian Office for the Institute On Governance to enhance governance in South-east Asia and South Asia. Activities were funded by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), Ford Foundation, Asia Development Bank (ADB) and UNDP. Highlights include: *Publication and dissemination of two books on governance, including the processes to enhance effective government-civil society-business partnerships in Southeast Asia. Organized two major international conferences on governance and dozens of training programs for diverse populations to enhance transparency and governance. *Research director for case studies in four Southeast Asian countries to build more effective policy partnerships between government and civil society. *Project Director for a ‘Media and Governance’ project in South Asia to enhance practical service delivery initiatives.
