My work extended from co-creating, re-envisioning, and expanding our CK-12 Certified Educator Program and professional development offerings to building a network of educators, trainers, and nonprofit organizations that further the creation and implementation of inclusive, open-access resources and personalized learning. Beyond that, I collaborated with our leadership team to strategize projects, capture our vision, and ensure contracts, copyright, and other legal concerns are addressed to keep the organization running smoothly and best serve our students, teachers, and partners. Finally, I worked to oversee our communication efforts through managing an external marketing team, addressing language throughout our platform, and constructing opportunities to bring educators together to learn from them and share who we are.As a Content Specialist, my projects ranged from managing the conversion of high school texts to college level resources, along with addressing the grant requirements for that project, to designing new question types, and to reviewing and updating our math and English resources. This year, my role has transitioned from full time to that of a contractor with a focus on continuing to address student privacy contracts, copyright questions, and broader team needs. Additionally, I have presented in workshops at multiple local and national conferences; recruited, hired, and oversaw a team of contractors and student and educator interns; and utilized project-tracking, data analytics, and client management software such as Asana, Trello, Bugzilla, Pivotal, Basecamp, Tableau, iContact, ActiveCampaign, Zendesk, and Salesforce. As part of the Outreach Program, I was able to write the math component of our series "Understanding Language-Based Learning Disabilities" and design and co-wrote our bimonthly resource "Spotlight on Language-Based Learning Disabilities." As an educator, I continually created and adapted lessons, assessed student progress, implemented IEPs, wrote reports, and utilized various literacy programs. Beyond teaching, I coached students in Destination Imagination, helped them prepare and run theatrical productions, and supervised them residentially. In addition to working with students, I mentored new faculty and sat on the Landmark-Harvard University Joint Research Board.
