- Leverage LLMs and internal tools to rapidly generate and evaluate assessment content to support student learning with CK-12.- Respond to insights from other teams to organize large-scale (10,000+ items) review projects and improve content based on their recommendations. - Work with multiple teams from C-suite level to interns to ensure projects meet the needs of all parties involved and are of exceptional quality when delivered to our users.- Designed and informed development of Interactive Simulations and PLIX to support CK-12 science content.- Serve as a domain expert in Chemistry and support Biology domain experts when needed.

For the duration of my fellowship I am working in Dr. Calvin Kuo's lab under his postdoctoral scholar Chuck Zhang. My research focused on the potential role of the RGMb/Neogenin ligand-receptor system in the intestinal stem cell niche. To address this question I developed protein expression vectors to test up-regulation of the soluble ligand or receptor motif and shRNA vectors to investigate consequences of down-regulation of expression in either gene. I was able to demonstrate that the protein expression vectors created a serum-soluble protein of the expected weight which was detectable by immunoblotting when injected into mice. I presented my research at the 2014 CIRM Bridges Symposium.

Supplemental Instructor for the Genetics course. For three semesters I lead meetings of students outside of class and provided supplementary information to the core course materials.
