The last phase of the adventure - touring the world with my Foreign Service Officer spouse - has now come to an end and the next phase has begun. We are back in Denver with plans to do a lot of international travel - this time minus the diplomatic passports and doing it on our own dime. It was a tremendous journey and we look forward to the next adventures.

CLO (Community Liaison Office) is the section within the Foreign Service that supports the American community, including family members, in their lives abroad. International Real Estate Consulting Services; Tokyo, Japan; Designed and implemented financial and engagement management reporting systems for real estate consulting practice in Japan; Responsible for oversight and coordination of information systems project.Internal Audit Services – Managed internal audit outsourcing and financial consulting engagements. Designed and directed treasury restructuring project resulting in a cost reduction of $1 million. Managed outsourced Internal Audit engagements.Real Estate Asset Management - Directed operations, financial, human resources and legal functions of asset management department.Served on RTC senior management committee with responsibility for major RTC controlled asset and business relationships.

Managed regional team to resolve and recover a $ 300 million portfolio of delinquent loans, real estate assets and subsidiary companies.Developed information systems, including comprehensive budget, management and operational reporting.Supervised human resources and administration functions. Instituted staff training, development and compensation programs.

Retained by Federal Home Loan Bank to manage the liquidation and sale of two failed savings & loan associations (Equitable Savings & Loan and Cal America Savings & Loan) and their development and financing subsidiaries. Served as Controller prior to and subsequent to the takeover of a third failed thrift (Bell Savings & Loan).•Analyzed, restructured and negotiated the sale of real estate development company•Settled complex employment litigation•Presented financial reports and strategic business plans to boards of directors, audit committees and regulatory agencies, including the SEC;•Implemented cost reduction plans, identifying non-profitable lines of business and inefficient operating units resulting in reduced operating costs. •Implemented investment and cash management strategies and procedures.
