In this part-time, nine-month contract, I assisted the Chamber's Director of Programs and Resource Development with the marketing and graphic design for the Small Business Technical Assistance Program (SBTAP). Within a week, I created anywhere between one and 15 different flyer layouts for the program's annual and monthly events. Another task I was in charge of during the start of my contract was gathering and organizing information to include in their bi-monthly digital newsletter. As the chamber dynamics evolved and redesignated tasks, I adapted with them, better managing my time to focus my efforts on a larger project for the chamber.This project was the SBTAP's Business Catalog, a multi-page booklet containing data of small, start-up businesses in the D.C. area. I cooperated with the business owners, a professional photographer, and my supervisor to gather all the information and pictures I needed for the catalog. I thank GWHCC for providing me this opportunity, and appreciating my skills and character to hire me after working with them as an intern the year before. This opportunity allowed me to work with a fun, small and intimate team of seven ladies as the sole graphic artist for the chamber. My time-management skills came into major play as I created up to 30 different marketing material layouts and designs within a week to month on a part-time work schedule.
