Ele's Place is a healing center for grieving children and teens. Each week, peer support group programs help hundreds of children, ages 3-21, learn how to cope and begin to heal after the death of a parent, sibling or other loved one. As Managing Director of the Ann Arbor office I led an amazing team of 9 talented professionals including five licensed social workers, 100+ active weekly volunteers and over 500 committed donors. Together, we were able to facilitate over 27 support groups each week for grieving children and teens. As the branch executive it was my role to empower and guide the staff and volunteers, inspire and engage donors, as well as educate the community about this incredible organization. Responsibilities including personnel management, fiscal management, program and departmental oversight, volunteer board, 100+ weekly volunteers, and administration of operational budget.
